As many of you know, our city of Nashville was hit by a devastating tornado in the weeks prior to the pandemic starting. We dedicated the month of March to fundraising for those affected by the storm, giving you 20% off all Pasta Shoppe products and donating $1 for each item sold to The Nashville Food Project.
Through your generous purchases we sold 2215 items, raising $2215 to help those in need. This is all thanks to YOU!
We know this season has been a scary and an uncertain time for all, but we also know that we will get through it together. We are so thankful for the kind acts of those in our community who continue to help with tornado relief, and to our healthcare workers and first responders who are now on the front lines fighting this virus.
WHY WE CHOSE THE NASHVILLE FOOD PROJECT
As a locally-grown Nashville business, The Pasta Shoppe has always been committed to helping support and sustain our community. The Nashville Food Project mission is to bring people together to grow, cook and share nourishing food, with the goals of cultivating community and alleviating hunger in our city. Their team of staff and volunteers were some of the first responders following the Tornado, delivering nearly 2,000 made-from-scratch meals to emergency shelters and neighborhood recovery hubs in North Nashville, East Nashville, and Donelson.
Now more than ever, their efforts need our support. Their volunteer staff and kitchens have been suspended to limit the spread of coronavirus, however they continue to work as a small team to prepare weekly meals for our community and stand by to assist our city’s shelters, schools, nonprofits, and other front-line partners in minimizing the impact of this crisis. #PASTAPOSITIVITY
We are always so inspired by YOU, our community, and the ability we have to all band together during tough times. We’re inspired by your strength, your commitment, and the love and joy you continue to share. We invite you to follow along with us on Instagram at @worldofpastabilities and use the hashtag #pastapositivity, as we seek to continue spreading love and positivity online. It might feel like a small thing, but showing others how you are finding happiness in your days at home can inspire us all to find new ways of choosing joy when life feels overwhelming!
On behalf of our family and our staff, we THANK YOU with all our hearts for helping us to support our community. We hope you all stay healthy, safe and find little joys during this time! #NashvilleStrong
Sincerely,
Carey and John Aron
